Judicaelle often introduces herself by saying, “I am an afro-political feminist engaged in disruptive work and serving my communities.” However, that barely scratches the surface. Born in Burundi and educated in the US, Judicaelle is a well-respected organizer and a thought leader in various fields. Her expertise encompasses women’s rights, building feminist movements, African political affairs, youth development, immigrant rights, refugee integration, project development and management, women’s entrepreneurship, and sexual and reproductive rights, to name just a few.
Judicaelle is a distinguished advocate whose work operates at the convergence of human rights and social justice. Her purposeful activism has fostered both national and global discourse regarding gender-based violence, racial equity, and the economic and social development of the African continent, as well as its global diaspora.
She has engaged in various research projects that include documentation, organization of case studies, evaluation, monitoring, and the formulation of baseline recommendations, primarily aimed at facilitating transformative, community-led change. Judicaelle has also undertaken numerous consultancy roles with multilateral organizations, including UN Women, UNHCR, Civicus Alliance, and Plan International.
In her capacity as a facilitator, she is involved in critical analysis and collective organizing within various movements. Judicaelle has moderated a range of discussions, from the Horasis Global Gathering of Business Leaders to summits hosted by the United Nations.

Judicaelle was chosen as the 2019 European Commission Young leader on Migration and the G20 young global Changer on gender equality at the Global Solutions Initiatives.
Judicaelle currently serves as the President of the board at Choose Yourself. She is also part of Projects by the MAMA network and Global Fund for women.
Judicalle is also a published author. Her short story ” Mamouchka” was published in the Anthology ” a season of building houses”. She writes regularly as a contributor at African Feminisms . Her writings have been published in diverse news outlets such as : Essence, Press Herald,…
